OUR VISION

Beulah Family Church: A Church working on the great commands and the great commission

Love God

Expressed in dynamic worship, personal devotion and obedience to the word of the Lord and his commands.

Love One Another

Our faith while deeply personal cannot be true to Jesus if it is private and not shared. We strive to build deep relationships within the Church to build one another up in every area of our lives. Part of this is training one another in practical aspects of the Christian faith through our equipping track discipleship programme.

Love the Community around Us

We have good news to share with our world. There is a loving Father who has sent his Son Jesus Christ to show us the ways of God and to save us through his death on the cross. We have a message for the nation and the nations which countless of millions of fellow believers believe with us to be the true answer to the world deepest need.

We want to show the love of God in practical ways by our love and service as well as telling it through our message.

Scripture References

Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind,’ this is the first and greatest commandment (Matt 22:37).

A new commandment I give you: love one another as I have loved you. All men will know that you are my disciples if you have love one for another (John 13:34f).

Then Jesus came to them and said, “ All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, even to the end of the age (Matt 28:18-20).

ABOUT CHRISTIANITY

In the beginning God made two perfect people, Adam and Eve. He wanted them to be His friends and to look after the world. Sadly, they chose to disobey Him. Their 'sin' ruined their relationship with God and affected the whole human race - which includes you. The things that you do wrong (swearing, lying, selfishness, etc.) separate you from God.

God loves you and wants to be your friend, but you can't enjoy a relationship with Him while there's sin in your life. You may try to please Him by doing good deeds, but they'll never be good enough and they won't cancel out your sin. You're imprisoned by it.

So how do you get rid of your sin? You can't. God has to do it for you. That's why He sent Jesus into the world. Jesus lived a perfect life and deserved to be totally accepted by God. Instead, He allowed God to punish Him on the cross for you. You deserve to die for your sin, but Jesus died in your place. By rising from the dead He demonstrated that He's still alive and will give you eternal life if you come to Him.

To become a Christian, you must:

  • Admit to God that you've sinned against Him.
  • Tell Him that you're really sorry for the things you've done wrong and that you're going to stop doing them.
  • Believe that when Jesus Christ died on the cross, He took the punishment for your sin.
  • Ask Jesus to come into your life, take away your sin and give you eternal life.
